Thrive MD Las Cruces is focused on helping patients struggling with chronic health issues by identifying foods that might be contributing to their medical problems. Individuals with fibromyalgia, chronic constipation, irritable bowel, migraines, eczema, autoimmune illness, poor focus, depression, and anxiety can find themselves seeing multiple medical specialists, trying various medications which may not lead to improvement in their symptoms. It is hard to imagine that we can have unwanted reactions in our body after the ingestion of certain foods. Everyone responds differently to the ingestion of food, and some reactions contribute to the unwanted symptoms seen on a daily basis. Evaluation and testing at Thrive MD will help to identify these foods. Elimination of these foods from the diet will help to see reversal and even elimination of symptoms, allowing a healthier lifestyle.
Located in downtown Las Cruces, Thrive MD is part of the Full Circle Health Center. Offices are open on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons and have flexibility for additional times if needed. Visits can be in person and through tele-health. Thrive MD does not accept insurance or Medicare. Initial visits are $200 and follow-up appointments are $125. Jana Williams, MD
As a child Jana was fascinated with science and chemistry, followed by nutrition in her teens and early adult years. Curious of how medication affects our bodies, she entered pharmacy school and graduated with a BS in Pharmacy from the University of South Carolina. Recognizing a desire to work with children, she headed to medical school with plans to become a pediatrician. She completed her pediatric training at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in 1997. A practicing pediatrician for over 20 years, Jana has seen the impact of nutrition on health and wellbeing.
Over time, she has worked with families in identifying food triggers that have been associated with various symptoms in her patients including poor attention and ‘brain fog,’ abdominal pain, rashes, headaches, and joint pain. Being able to modify a diet to improve symptoms, rather than add medications to a child’s daily routine, inspired Jana to help adults. The changes she has helped families to make has instilled confidence in her patients and their families, empowering them to feel in charge of their health.
